Finishing a Song can take a lot of time but if you can find 1-2 hours every day to complete the tasks you’ll be good to go!
Don’t worry if your song isn’t 100% done by Day 7. It’s always up to you how much fine tuning you want to do at the end, the most important elements of your song will be done by then.
That’s totally reasonable. Your song probably wont be 100% finished by day 7. But you learn everything you need to know to turn your ideas into a fully arranged songs.
That means, you’ll have a 90% finsihed song by Day 7. From then it’s up to you how much fine-tuning you want to do. A song is never finished until you say so. So we also have some tips for you how you can decide when a song is finished or not.
The instruction videos of each day are available for a total of 10 days only.
This means: On day 7 the videos will be available for 3 more days. After 10 days they will be only available in POPlab membership program.
The instruction videos will be done using Ableton Live 11 but you can follow along with any DAW. For Plug-Ins, Nexus & Sylenth1 is highly recommended since Kygo uses these heavily. It is however not required. While we will also cover technical details such as Sound Selection, Mixing & Sound Design, the 7-Day Producer Challenge is more about giving you a frame work on how to start a Kygo Style song & finish it.

Each video is between 10-40 minutes. You will not only get specific instructions on what to do each day – you will see Nathan producing the song with you from start to finish, showing you specific production techniques you can use to achieve certain sounds.
No absolutely not!
In fact we show you 3 different ways how you can start a song, only one of them requires a vocal.
Since we know it’s difficult to get High-Quality Vocals we also included 1 Vocal for you to be used for the challenge. Please note that this Vocal is NOT Royalty-Free. This means if you want to release your song using this Vocal you will have to buy a license for the Vocal for the price of 50€.
